So much great music was created throughout history by LGBTQ+ musicians.
Who are they? What did they create? Can we discover more of them?
With your help, we hope to create a comprehensive database of LGBTQ+ musicians - and celebrate them!
We're starting with posters but so much more is possible. Should we create playlists of LGBTQ+ artists to recommend to people? Should a group of us do a night of music where we all play covers of their songs? Or, can we do a night of original music by LGBTQ+ artists around a certain theme?
Anything is possible and we'd love to hear from you with your ideas.

MEet Our Team
This idea was born from two friends who are both musicians and raising transgender children. How can we make this world more inclusive for our kids? How can we inspire our kids to make music? We wanted to give our kids positive, inspiring images of LGBTQ+ musicians. And thus, LGBTQ+ Musicians was born.
BarbieBarbie Wong is a music educator and parent of two teens. She believes that everyone has the capacity to play music and in addition to teaching piano and ‘ukulele, she also teaches parents how to raise joyful, musical children. When Barbie is not making music, she enjoys making up silly songs with her family, reading and doing parkour.

ColtColt Tipton (on the right) lives with his husband and two kiddos in Eugene, Oregon where he's a software consultant for Accenture. He’s a two-time national fiddling champion, an avid tennis player, a game designer, a global wanderer and a dancin' fool. No matter what the activity, he’s always finding some way to play.
